The Challenge

Burnham Benefits, Burnham Risk, and Burnham Gibson did not have established social media accounts or existing strategies on major platforms. Their posts were inconsistent and lacked cohesive, professional branding, and design elements. Margaux Agency had to create social media accounts and focus on branding, reach, and growth on these platforms. 

If one isn’t familiar with the language and concepts of the employee benefits world, it can be difficult to translate the services to the average consumer. Burnham was having a hard time connecting to their ideal audience base with the constantly changing HR, financial, and insurance industry requirements and regulations’ main meaningful, easily understandable ways.

Margaux Agency provided Burnham Benefits with comprehensive digital marketing services and management, starting with an initial social media platform overhaul and industry research to understand the most pressing matters impacting the HR world. 

For social media, Margaux Agency created monthly content calendars sharing informative and community-driven content 4-5 times a week. This content included important legislative updates, explaining Burnham Benefit’s services, sharing staff spotlights and promotions, and valuable HR employer tips. Margaux would create this resourceful content, use sleek graphic design, and schedule this content for their social media platforms. With this consistent influx of content, the Burnham Benefits online community grew and their brand was able to reach new target audiences.

For public relations efforts, Margaux Agency was able to seek out features for Burnham in reputable publications such as the Orange County Business Journal, Forbes, Employee Benefit Advisors, Business Insurance, Campaign US, Yahoo!, Insurance Journal, and Business Insider. The Margaux team also wrote and managed all outgoing press releases and produced over 40 legislative updates through our email marketing strategy. Metrics for both the press release and legislative update distribution were recorded in a timely fashion.
